Short hair and one of my favorite quotes:)

So, for those of you who don't have facebook and wanted to see my VERY short hair...here it is. Sorry it has taken so long to post...About once a day I regret cutting it, but for the most part I like it:) It's easier, lighter, freeing, and I feel like a new woman!
Here's the quote that I wrote down years and years ago, but came across it tonight, precisely a time when I needed to read it again and be reminded of its truth:
" Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Free yourself by dancing with the wildflowers wherever you find them!

Today I am planting my very own set of wildflowers! And then once they start showing up, you bet your bottom dollar, I am going to be dancing in them. Such an exciting life I lead. Please, don't be jealous anyone, your time will come for a life as fun and as shocking as mine:)

I'm a working woman!

Just yesterday I got a job at Able's Acres! I will be making apple pies, apple fritters, apple donuts, apple dumplings, and basically apple everything!!! No, it doesn't come with insurance, and no it doesn't pay well, and no it's not a permanent position, BUT it IS a job and I am grateful! Today will be my first day and I think it will be a lot of fun. Cross your fingers:)

Lovers Leap!

Today I got to go with my parents and hike one of my favorite trails to hike: Lovers Leap. My Dad used to take me and my siblings there as we were growing up and it has been 10 or 11 years since I've been back. It was so fun to go again! I certainly enjoyed the sunshine, the aspens, and the company:)
The picture of my Dad next to that wooden sign is the sign he put up 30 years ago when he worked for the Forest service. He felt nostalgic to look at the sign and made him feel pretty proud that it is still up. He must have done a good job hammering it in. Also the picture of me and Michelle taken a year ago shows Lovers Leap in the background on the right. (it's the one with the sheer cliff)...Thats the one m y parents and I hiked today.
