Lovers Leap!

Today I got to go with my parents and hike one of my favorite trails to hike: Lovers Leap. My Dad used to take me and my siblings there as we were growing up and it has been 10 or 11 years since I've been back. It was so fun to go again! I certainly enjoyed the sunshine, the aspens, and the company:)
The picture of my Dad next to that wooden sign is the sign he put up 30 years ago when he worked for the Forest service. He felt nostalgic to look at the sign and made him feel pretty proud that it is still up. He must have done a good job hammering it in. Also the picture of me and Michelle taken a year ago shows Lovers Leap in the background on the right. (it's the one with the sheer cliff)...Thats the one m y parents and I hiked today.

  1. I sure hope you paid to go on that hike... that was goal #3. I think you can interpret that goal to mean paying for a hike with a sore back and legs the next morning, as opposed to money (then you're still being honorable and paying). What a beautiful view from up top. And what a great way to spend time with your parents. Hiking through such beautiful landscape can be such a spiritual experience. Can we just build a cabin up there and live... forever?
